Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gently clean the mushrooms using a damp paper towel. Carefully remove the stems from the mushroom caps and finely chop the stems, setting the caps aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and form a cohesive stuffing.
Cooking
- Evenly spoon the prepared cream cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, ensuring they are generously filled. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the stuffing is golden brown and bubbly. Serve hot as an appetizer or a delightful side dish.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sauté the chopped mushroom stems with a bit of onion before adding them to the cream cheese mixture. If you don't have fresh parsley, dried parsley can be used, but reduce the amount by half.
