Prepare the Shrimp
- In a medium bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Do not overcook.
Make the Creamy Sauce
- While the shrimp is cooking, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, chipotle powder, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl until smooth.
Assemble the Tacos
- Warm the corn or flour tortillas according to package instructions, either in a dry skillet, microwave, or oven.
- Fill each warm tortilla with a spoonful of shredded cabbage, a few pieces of cooked shrimp, and a drizzle of the creamy sauce.
- Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasoning. You can also customize your tacos with toppings like diced avocado, cilantro, or pico de gallo.
