Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 14 ounces mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Damp Cloth or Paper Towels

Method

Preparation
  1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth; slice if large, or leave small mushrooms whole.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add mushrooms in a single layer, and cook undisturbed for 3-5 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir and cook for another 3-5 minutes until tender and liquid is released.
  3. Add butter and minced garlic, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, stir in parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet while cooking the mushrooms to achieve a good sear. Using fresh herbs like parsley enhances the flavor significantly.
