Ingredients
  

Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Halve the lemons and squeeze out the juice using a lemon juicer; remove any seeds.
Mixing
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the granulated sugar with 1 cup of cold water, then stir until completely dissolved.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the fresh lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher, stirring well to combine.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill thoroughly, then serve over ice with lemon slices as garnish.

Notes

For a sweeter lemonade, add more sugar. For a tarter lemonade, add more lemon juice. You can also add fresh mint leaves or berry slices for extra flavor.
