Prepare the Filling
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Then, in a large bowl, gently combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and lemon juice.
- Line a 9-inch pie dish with one pie crust. Carefully pour the blueberry mixture into the crust, then dot the top with small pieces of unsalted butter.
Assemble and Bake
- Place the second pie crust over the filling. Trim and crimp the edges to seal, then cut a few slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
- Bake the pie for 15 minutes at 400°F (200°C). Reduce the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue baking for another 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Let the pie cool completely before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle a tablespoon of sugar on top of the pie crust before baking for a sparkling finish. If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before mixing with the other ingredients; simply add them frozen and increase the baking time by 5-10 minutes if needed.
