Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan. This ensures the brownies won't stick.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, then whisk until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares and serving. This helps them set and become fudgier.
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them. You can also add a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.
