  • 5 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 0.25 cup salsa for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle about 1/4 cup of cheese over half of it.
  3. Add a small amount of cooked chicken over the cheese, if desired.
  4. Fold the other half of the tortilla over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
Cooking
  1. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and cut it into wedges.
  3. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling ingredients.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately with salsa or your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add diced onions, bell peppers, or a pinch of chili powder to the filling. Adjust the amount of cheese and chicken to your preference.
