Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Small bowl
  • Tongs

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy skin. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C) and lightly oil the grates.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, chopped dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
Grilling
  1. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the preheated grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes without moving.
  2. Carefully flip the salmon and grill for another 3-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  3. Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the salmon for 30 minutes before grilling. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
