  • 1 pound Ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 large Yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 Hoagie rolls
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized and softened, about 8-10 minutes; remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the same skillet and cook quickly until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Return the caramelized onions to the skillet with the steak and mix well.
  6. Divide the steak and onion mixture into two portions in the skillet; top each portion with three slices of provolone cheese and allow it to melt.
  7. Carefully scoop each portion into a hoagie roll and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, you can add a touch of hot sauce to the steak mixture. You can also toast the hoagie rolls before adding the filling for a crispier texture.
