Ingredients

Wedge Salad Ingredients
  • 1 head Iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes halved
  • 0.25 Red onion thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup Blue cheese crumbles
  • 4 strips Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 0.5 cup Blue cheese dressing
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper freshly ground

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Serving plates

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the iceberg lettuce thoroughly under cold water, then pat it dry completely. Cut the head of lettuce into four equal wedges, ensuring each piece has part of the core to hold it together.
  2. Arrange each lettuce wedge on a serving plate or shallow bowl, making sure they are stable and presentable.
  3. Evenly drizzle a generous amount of blue cheese dressing over each lettuce wedge, ensuring good coverage.
  4. Sprinkle plenty of blue cheese crumbles over the dressed wedges, followed by the cooked and crumbled bacon. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and thinly sliced red onion.
  5. Finish each salad with a good grind of fresh black pepper. Serve immediately and enjoy your perfectly grown wedge salad.

Notes

For an extra crunch, you can add some toasted croutons. If you prefer a lighter dressing, use a vinaigrette instead of blue cheese. Make sure all ingredients are chilled for the best experience.
