Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Boil the sweet potatoes in a large pot of lightly salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes, then drain and let them cool slightly.
Making the Casserole
  1. Peel the cooled sweet potatoes and mash them in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Stir in granulated sugar, milk, melted butter, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and salt into the mashed sweet potatoes.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Preparing the Topping
