Preparation
- In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil and add Old Bay seasoning, minced garlic, and lemon halves.
- Add the halved red potatoes to the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork but still firm.
- Stir in the halved ears of corn and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing them to become crisp-tender.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
- Carefully drain the shrimp, potatoes, and corn, then discard the lemon halves.
- Transfer the boil ingredients to a large serving platter and drizzle with melted unsalted butter, serving immediately.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the boiling water. Fresh parsley can be added as a garnish for color and a fresh aroma.
