Preparation
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to create the honey-garlic sauce.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and sear for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, pour the honey-garlic sauce over the chicken, and bring to a simmer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened, turning the chicken occasionally to ensure even coating.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. You can drizzle any remaining sauce over the chicken.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken in the honey-garlic sauce for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator, before cooking. Serve with rice and steamed vegetables.
