Dinner Rolls (Soft)

These soft and fluffy dinner rolls are perfect for any meal and can be made in under an hour.

Ingredients
  

Main Dough
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.25 cups warm water
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, then let it sit until foamy.
  2. Stir in melted butter, salt, and half of the flour until combined.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each into a roll.
  6. Place rolls in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan, cover, and let rise for 15 minutes in a warm place.
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

For extra fluffy rolls, ensure your yeast is active and the water is not too hot. If you don't have a warm place for rising, lightly heat your oven to 100°F (38°C), turn it off, and place the rolls inside for the 15-minute rise duration.
