Preparation
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, then let it sit until foamy.
- Stir in melted butter, salt, and half of the flour until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each into a roll.
- Place rolls in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan, cover, and let rise for 15 minutes in a warm place.
Baking
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
For extra fluffy rolls, ensure your yeast is active and the water is not too hot. If you don't have a warm place for rising, lightly heat your oven to 100°F (38°C), turn it off, and place the rolls inside for the 15-minute rise duration.
