Also known as Muddy Buddies, this recipe offers the best way to create a delightful mix of crunchy cereal coated in chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar – a perfect treat for any occasion.

Main Ingredients
  • 9 cups Chex cereal (e.g., Rice, Corn, or Wheat)
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Measure Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter; microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently stir until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer coated cereal to a large sealing plastic bag, add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until fully coated.
  6. Spread Puppy Chow onto parchment paper or a baking sheet to cool and set before serving.

Notes

For variations, try adding a pinch of cinnamon to the powdered sugar, or use white chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
